Hi! I’m A. Lynn…writing my thoughts from deep in the heart of Texas.

Let’s cover some basics of me: She/her (they is fine too.) Never gets enough sleep. Loud laugher. A fine vintage 1984 make…white cis bi lady, who is a unapologetic fatty fat, redheaded curly-haired mess. Hoosier turned Austinite. Kitten, cupcake, and nail polish aficionado. Nonprofit (fundraising) professional. TV/movie mega consumer. Extreme banana hater (like next level). Independent filmmaker’s partner and biggest cheerleader. I thrive on order and structure…if you like personality assessments, HEY ME TOO, here’s a bunch of my results: concrete sequentialESTJ, Enneagram Type 1, Dc “The Architect” DISC, Strengthsfinder: Achiever, Activator, Communication, Significance, and Learner. I frequently struggle with anxiety and stress…and some chronic health issues like endo and IBS. (I don’t embarrass easily though, if that’s not already clear.) I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science, Psychology, and Gender Studies as well as a Master of Public Affairs-Nonprofit Management.

I’ve been writing in some form or another since the moment I learned to form words with a pencil, but I’ve only realized “I am a writer” some 30+ years later. I’m a wordy, wordy external processor and over-talker, who can pretty much only understand the world by putting it into words, be they verbal or written. It’s less annoying to those around me (currently only my partner, it’s the pandemic, y’all) if I process what I can in writing, so here we are, kick starting my next blogging foray.

This site is a space for me to blog/write about any damn thing I please without promise of a coherent theme or content :) [More depth on that fact here.]

I’ve had many past haunts of the internet life. For example, I (used to) blog prolifically at nerdyfeminist.com, where you can see my archive of feminist writing (most stuff from 2010-2015, with a slow fizzle out 2015-2017). I also run “whatbigotspost” on Tumblr…that endeavor started as a call out blog way back in 2012 when that was a new-ish idea, but has since also had its own fizzle out (kinda). Because I love a category/metaphor more than the average bear, consider this blog like a bigger umbrella over everything else I’ve ever done online. Like my writing home base.

Hoosier turned Austinite, feminist, film fanatic, and nonprofit fundraiser, writing deep in the heart of Texas.
